When I bought this lovely chiyogami paper I decided to use it for paper earrings.
1. Cut the earring shape from cardboard four times
2. Glue two pieces together
3. When it´s dry sand with fine sandpaper
4. Cover with acrylic base.
5. Paint sides with acrylic paint
6. Glue the paper on and cover with Mod-podge.
Optionally, apply coat of transparent varnish.
I like this project because variations of shape and pattern are endless

These earrings are lovely. What a creative and inexpensive way to get gorgeous earrings. Thanks for posting the supplies needed and instructions on how to make them. I can't wait to try to make some for myself and then wear them. :) I wish you lots of fun in all your crafting.

Hi Sabina. I'm happy to be introduced to your blog through Swap-bot. I enjoyed looking back through a few of your posts.
ReplyDeleteI do a small amount of beading but am not terribly creative about it. I am more creative with my quilting. I also do watercolors.
Your trope necklace caught my eye as I have been working with trope for a few weeks and plan to make a mat for the front door next--useful but still fun to do.
I'll be back. Marsha
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWow! These are really cool! I never saw paper earings before! They are beautiful and very creative! Love the purple color!
